Target Local Keyword Phrases

Real Estate Blogdog · Jun 15, 2015 · 6 Comments

Always target local keyword phrases.

So what is a keyword phrase?

A keyword phrase is a set of words that explains to Google what your website is about.

SEO Keyword Phrase

If you work in Scottsdale. Then your keywords would look something like this.

  • Scottsdale Real Estate
  • Scottsdale Homes for Sale
  • Moving to Scottsdale
  • Real Estate Agent in Scottsdale
Think about it this way.

How would I search for that?

There are many keyword sets for the same thing. For Example. One blog post could be: Scottsdale Homes for Sale. Then a week later you can get another group. Homes for Sale in Scottsdale. Then Houses for Sale in Scottsdale, and so on…
You can and should use all the different variations. The more variations you use the more likely you will cover your entire market.
Or, you can let RE blogdog do it all for you. Hint… Hint…

Just Be Consistent

Keep Your Traffic on Your Website

Real Estate Blogdog · Jun 2, 2015 · Leave a Comment

You work very hard to get traffic to your website. Every visitor could become a potential client.

Right?

OK then, we will start by minimizing your links going to other websites. These are like leaving the backdoor open and wondering why the dog got out. Some outbound links are good for SEO though. Try 1 link per blog post. Make it go to a credible source of information about real estate. Set it to open in a new browser window. And, don’t put it front and center. You don’t really want anyone to click it. You just want Google to see it.

Stay on Topic

Stay on topic on every page of your website.

In other words…

Blog about homes for sale, real estate listings, or your experience as a real estate professional. Google is not interested in restaurant reviews or local hotel accommodations.

There are plenty of websites that do a great job with that.

Keep Your Content Relevant

Real Estate Blogdog · Jun 2, 2015 · Leave a Comment

Keep the content on your entire website relevant to your market area.

If you want to find clients in Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa. Add content to your site about only those areas. If you work in a very broad area that covers several cities or states. Consider a 2nd or even a 3rd website. If you include too many areas, Google will get confused on what your site is really about.

Selling homes in a specific market area.
